Description

iPad use in the Classroom - Session 1

Allanah King is a part time ICT facilitator and primary school teacher based in a Nelson. She works with teachers in schools supporting integration of ICT skills in classrooms. She regularly presents at ULearn conferences. Throughout 2011/12 she has been writing a number of resource websites for her cluster and is now sharing them on her edublog and cluster wiki.

She enjoys sharing her learning and experience of using ICT with classroom teachers.

We are very privileged to have Allanah traveling to Christchurch for the day to spend time with the greater Christchurch teachers.

We are running two identical sessions 12:30 – 2:30pm and 3:30-5:00pm. During this time, Allanah will be focusing on:

  • her 5-10 favourite apps
  • how to set up a group of iPad’s in a school classroom
  • how to effectively integrate the use of iPad’s in teaching and learning

We invite attendees to BYOD, but we will also have the use of 10+ Learning Centre iPad’s for those that do not have access to one for the day.
