Professional development support for east Christchurch schools :

Jill Hammonds is working with nine  primary schools in the East of Christchurch running full day workshops, and covering a range of topics that each school has identified for themselves.  These run from Monday 11 June through to Thursday 21 June.

Mathematics with Calculus mentoring for Teachers -  Thursday,14 and 21 June.   7pm to 9:00pm.   Video conferencing sessions.

 LEARNZ Presentation/PD session,  Wednesday, June 13, 2012.  15:45 - 17:00. For primary and intermediate schools at South Learning Centre  (separate session specifically for secondary teachers at a later date.  Look here  

 Moodle users group -  Thursday 14th June.   3:45-4:45pm at the South Learning Centre.  The aim of this group meeting is to allow staff to have some hands-on time; and to share and demonstrate Moodle tips.  Please bring a resource, an activity or a problem you have in your Moodle site that you can work on.

Ipads with Allanah King - Thursday 21 June.   Two sessions in afternoon.  Come to a hands-on workshop where Allanah will share her top 5-10 aps, discuss how ipads can be set up in a classroom (school) and how to effectively integrate their use into teaching and learning. More details in the near future on the event calendar.

GCSN Secondary Champions and emerging leaders. Thursday 21 June. 1pm-3pm.  Please sign up  to hold your place and for numbers for catering.  This next Champions meeting will cover up to date information and highlight a course for emerging leaders planned for Term 3. Please bring a keen emerging leader who would like to improve their leadership skills utilising on-line tools.
